This free festival, held across Eltham town centre, features over 30 of the best established and up-and-coming jazz, blues, swing and soul acts. Set in the heart of Melbourne's "Green Wedge," the festival was recently ranked second in the world through the "American Express Essentials world top 20 jazz festivals."

On top of the great entertainment, there will be a mouth-watering selection of gourmet foods and locally produced wine, beer, gin and cider available. Free children's entertainment, including face painting, a jumping castle and craft activities, will take place between 12pm and 6pm on Pryor Street.

Saturday’s lineup on the Barry Plant Stage starts at midday with the St Helena Secondary College Senior Jazz Band, followed by Dr Crask and his Swingin’ Elixir, the Michelle Nicolle Quartet, Shirazz and the Melbourne Jazz Quartet.

Headlining the Barry Plant Stage on Saturday night is the legendary Vince Jones—Australia’s leading jazz vocalist, interpreter, trumpet player and composer, who has set a benchmark through his continual musical evolution across his 20 album, international career. The Shuffle Club wrap up the night with a hot blend of jazz, swing, blues and boogie to get you onto the dance floor.

One of Australia’s most incredible guitar players, Phil Para headlines the Eltham Home, Timber and Hardware stage on Saturday night. Phil and his band will play a blend of originals and covers that fuse rock, blues, jazz and Latin.

Other great acts playing on the Eltham Home, Timber and Hardware stage on Saturday are Soul Sacrifice, the McNamarr Project, the Seven Ups, The Jackson Four Jazz, Checkerboard Lounge and the Stonnington Youth Jazz Initiative.

The R. Bliem & Associates Stage, situated near the Terrace, will showcase music from Rattlin’ Bones Blackwood, Fake Sibling, Catfish, The Slipdixies, Nick Charles, Hawker Heights and Greg Champion and the Useful Members of Society.

We are also delighted to announce that on Saturday, Little Drop of Poison and La Zanyas will once again put on free live music from 3pm till 11pm. Sunday kicks-off with the famous New Orleans Pelicans Brass Band and a stilt walker marching around town at 11:15am—a fantastic event for all the family. Other highlights on Sunday include The Blue Souls, Thando, Sisters and Misters, Sandie White and the Esmond Selwyn Trio, and Fulton Street.

Headlining the festival on Sunday are three-time winners of the 2018 Australian Blues Music Awards, South-Australian neo-blues act, Kings & Associates, on the Eltham Home Timber and Hardware Stage, and Horns of Leroy headline the Barry Plant Stage. Inspired by the flavours of New Orleans to Fitzroy, Horns of Leroy are a punked-out seven piece raucous street band takes brass band music to a whole new level.

Come along and soak up the laid back vibes and enjoy music that makes your soul dance. Visit Eltham Jazz, Food & Wine Festival website to view the program and find out more.
