Fame the Musical

The Musical Theatre Summer School Production featuring the iconic hit theme song 'Fame' and guest starring Hugh Parker as Mr Schmirof, James Shaw as Mr Myers and over 40 of Queensland’s emerging musical theatre stars.

The Broadway musical phenomenon 'Fame' comes to HOTA, in an all-new production. First the movie, then the TV series, and finally the stage musical. 'Fame' is the high- energy phenomenon that had us all wearing leg warmers, leotards and headbands!

And you can relive it all over again in this exciting new production choreographed by Kate Wormald (So You Think You Can Dance, Dance Boss), Directed by Tim Hill (Mary Poppins, 'Rent') and presented by the students of The Musical Theatre Summer School.

Relive the highs and lows of a group of students at New York City’s High School of Performing Arts, as they pursue their dreams, challenge themselves and each other, all the while discovering there is more to life as a successful performer than simply knowing the music and the steps.
