Father's Day Event

On Father’s Day, Sunday, 1st September, as we come together to celebrate our marvellous fathers, Allambe Memorial Park will help families who have lost their paternal figures honour and connect with loved ones through a special memorial service.

All are invited to commemorate those who have proceeded us with a non-denominational service led by celebrant Karen Doenitz. The event will include a candle lighting ceremony, musical tributes by vocalist Stephanie Das, the writing of personal messages to dad and poetry readings.

Gaylene Adam, Manager at Allambe Memorial Park says, “In our role as carers of the Gold Coast community, we think it’s important that everyone has a place to remember the amazing dads who are no longer with us in body, but are ever-present in spirit and memory, and very much loved and missed by those who are here to remember them.”

The Remember Dads Memorial Service was devised by the team at Allambe Memorial Park to support people in celebrating the lives of their fathers and grandfathers, while connecting with others who are going through a similar experience.

“In today’s society where we all lead busy lives, we hope to provide a time of joy for our Gold Coast neighbours, and a place where families can unite to reminisce about the good times,” concludes Gaylene.
