On Father’s Day, Sunday, 1st September, Australians will come together to celebrate marvellous dads. Castlebrook and Allan Drew Funerals will help the families of the Hills District and North West who have lost paternal figures honour and connect with loved ones through a special memorial service.

All are invited to commemorate those who have proceeded us with a non-denominational service, during which the names of loved ones will be read. Vocalist Eileen McCann will perform for the occasion, and those in attendance will be given a special butterfly to reflect the different kinds of father figures in our lives. Guests will also be able to leave a message for their fathers with memorial cards, and light refreshments will be provided.

John Lazanas, Family Service Manager at Castlebrook says, “In our role as carers of the Castlebrook community, we think it’s important that everyone has a place to remember the amazing dads who are no longer with us in body, but are ever-present in spirit and memory, and very much loved and missed by those who are here to remember them.”

The Father’s Day Service was devised by the team at Castlebrook to support people in celebrating the lives of their fathers and grandfathers, while connecting with others who are going through a similar experience. This event is proudly held in collaboration with Allan Drew Funerals.

“In today’s society where we all lead busy lives, we hope to provide a time of joy for our The Hills District and North West neighbours, and a place where families can unite to reminisce on the good times,” concludes John Lazanas.
