Focus on Farms Photographic Competition

Announcing our fourth annual "Focus on Farms" photographic competition, open to all members of the Toowoomba Regional Council. The event highlights and celebrates the vital role played by our farmers and farming communities in this region. Here is your opportunity shine the spotlight on our farmers for the invaluable role they play in our community, together with other land carers including volunteer environmental groups. In the Open and Under 18 Categories, there are 10 categories covering all aspects of rural life including Hats Off to Farmers, Favourite Paddock Tree, Flora and Fauna of the Darling Downs, Working on the Farm, Rural Landscapes, Worth all the Effort, Innovation and Collaboration, Best Farm Buddies, Community Event and On Our Selection.

There are two new categories especially for Landcare Groups, all other community environmental groups and also schools to showcase the activities they are engaged in. The competition opens on July 1 and closes on August 31.Winning entries go on display in the TRC Mobile Library for one month, commencing on September 18th. The Presentation Evening will be held on September 20th in the Kingsthorpe Hall. All details are on the Gomaren and Doctors Creek Catchment Facebook page. Entries can be dropped off at any of TRC's regional libraries. If in Toowoomba, entries can be dropped off at Westridge Photos, in the Westridge Shopping Centre on West Street. The event opens on July 1, 2019 and closes on August 31, 2019.
