The Fremantle International Street Arts Festival (FISAF), a globally renowned experience famous for its eclectic array of talented street performers, is back for 2019—and it’s promising a bang.

You will see the historic streets of Fremantle burst to life as performers transform the city into a world stage over the Easter long-weekend. This year’s four-day festival promises 28 international performers from 10 different countries, including France, Switzerland, USA and China; descending on the town.

Festival-goers can expect to be blown away by never-before-seen shows in Australia, as well as returning performances, both of which will rove through the port Town over the long weekend. Some of the high-calibre entertainers performing at this year’s Festival include:

- Cho Kairin: Award-winning and death-defying, the ‘King of Chinese Acrobats’ brings a lifetime of acrobatic mastery that will thrill and surprise Fremantle for the first time ever
- The Space Cowboy: Back by extremely popular demand, one of the most innovative Sword Swallowers alive today, The Space Cowboy will bring shock and amazement to the streets
- Nuptial Ropes: A burlesque wedding performance, with a foolish charm. Hailing from Switzerland, this couple performs a modern circus act that combines physical theatre, acrobats and mime
- Bug n’ Buzz: What may look like an ordinary café terrace to you, is a playground for Bug n’ Buzz! Buzz transforms cutlery, glassware, and tabletops into musical instruments with endless sample loops to create a soundscape for Bug to dance her way robotically through and around, in this infectious and innovative concordance.

Following a sensational response from locals at last year’s Seraphim Bar, FISAF 2019 will welcome an array of pop up bars for festival-goers to sit back and enjoy the Festival – all while sipping a local brew. This includes the Newport Hotel, which will present some of WA’s best musicians throughout the weekend.

The full list of performers for the Fremantle International Street Arts Festival can be found on the website.
