Dive in to the Fremantle Underwater Film Festival!

You are invited to attend a special evening that showcases the biodiversity and wonder of our global oceans through a broad variety of short underwater films.

The official screenings for the Fremantle Underwater Film Festival (FUFF) will be held in Fremantle, Western Australia. FUFF is screened annually in coastal towns and cities around metropolitan, northwest and southwest Western Australia.

The Fremantle Underwater Film Festival is a not for profit, independent, grassroots social and environmental movement for positive change for our oceans. It functions as an annual underwater short film festival in both the City of Fremantle and regional venues around Western Australia.

Each night of the festival we aim to:

Share interesting, fun and thought-provoking underwater short films to share the wonder of the ocean with you

Showcase the talented underwater film makers and animators from the local region and around the world, especially those that have a message surrounding marine science or conservation that can grow our awareness of our marine realm

Raise awareness about marine biodiversity and critically endangered marine species such as Maui Dolphins' Cephalorhynchus hectori maui (N.Z.), the critically endangered local migratory species', the southern bluefin tuna Thunnus maccoyii (W.A.) and the critically endangered and endemic coral reef-associated short-nosed sea snake Aipysurus apraefrontalis (W.A.)

Raise funds for marine biodiversity conservation projects to enact effective means to prevent critically endangered marine species from going extinct & to implement proactive marine biodiversity conservation action

Provide education about the importance of Marine Biodiversity Conservation and the precious nature of our Underwater World

Promote the coastal City of Fremantle as a unique ambassador for the Underwater Realm and Marine Conservation in Australia
