A music series celebrating Geelong's strong jazz culture in concerts featuring some of the regions best established and emerging talents.
October 13:
This event will feature star Australian jazz vocalist Amelia Evans accompanied by Geelong's best jazz musicians. Award-winning Australian vocalist, Amelia Evans is a Melbourne based musician and recent graduate of the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, Monash University. As the recipient of the Margaret Schofield Music Performance Scholarship (VCAA) and the Monash-Pratt Music Performance Jazz Scholarship, 2016 marked the beginning of her success as a young jazz vocalist.
In 2017, Amelia was awarded the coveted James Morrison Generations in Jazz Vocal Scholarship, performing as one of the six best young jazz vocalists in Australia. Chosen by James Morrison and an expert panel of some of the world’s finest musicians, Amelia worked with the likes of Jazzmeia Horn, Gordon Goodwin, Wycliffe Gordon, Ross Irwin and Kate Ceberano.

October 27:
An afternoon of classic silent films accompanied by authentic silent film piano playing. Includes films by Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, performed by renowned Victorian jazz pianist Callum Watson. Our bar and kitchen will be available for both events selling wines from our exclusive partner Jack Rabbit, cheese platters and delicious devonshire tea.
These events are supported by the City of Greater Geelong as part of Geelong Seniors Festival 2019.
