The Glenaeon Art Show & Family Fair is a standout annual event on Sydney’s lower north shore for all the family featuring wholesome, fun and creative activities for children of all ages, plus unique market stalls, scrumptious food and a world-class art show.

This year, the Fair committee, made up of Class 4 parents, has created a circus theme that brings a new look and a wonderful line up of things to see and do including a huge red ‘Big Top’ tent where you can try your skills at juggling, stilt walking, hula hooping and giant bubble blowing. The more daring can walk the tightrope, a slackline suspended between giant trees. Entertainment includes wandering minstrels, Prince of Pockets and the all-new Butterfly Lady providing lucky-dip style fun for kids.

Other activities include face painting, wood craft, sword making, flower crown making workshops and a giant Jenga game to play, and a photo booth with eclectic and colourful dress ups to be enjoyed by all.

There will be delicious homemade and organic foods, fresh home-baked cakes and traditional lemonade, plus our own coffee shop and sushi stall. We encourage all fair visitors to ditch the plastic and bring water bottles to refill from our water fountains on site.

This year’s Art Show is going to be bigger than ever with over 100 pieces of art on show to browse and buy. Our feature artist for 2019 is glass artist, Harriet Schwarzrock. Her work is widely collected, and her piece ‘breathe’ won the sculpture prize in the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize in 2014.

The Glenaeon Art Show & Family Fair is also a great opportunity to learn about the benefits of a Steiner Education. View works by Glenaeon students and talk with teachers to discover how Glenaeon can inspire a meaningful life for students from Kindergarten through to Year 12.
