Global Beats & Eats is set to bring great food and great vibes and will transform Paloma Park, Marangaroo into a fiesta for foodies and a mecca for music lovers.

Aussie roots royalty The Beautiful Girls will take centre stage for an evening of eclectic tunes and tastes from all four corners of the globe. Since forming in 2001, The Beautiful Girls have wooed fans of roots, reggae and alternative rock the world over. Five studio albums and several world tours later, the Sydney three-piece will get Marangaroo Park pumping with their potent mix of reggae and funk-infused songs.

A host of other awesome acts will round out an exciting line-up. King of groove Ash Grunwald and blues crooner Mia Dyson will light up the late afternoon stage, while Perth’s own alt-folk staple Riley Pearce will delight fans with easy-going tunes and laid-back feels. Hot off the heels of their latest record Commandments, Melbourne seven-piece band The Seven Ups will wow the crowd with their distinctive blend of street funk and Nigerian Afrobeat.

Mayor Roberts said an array of talented musicians and dancers will celebrate colourful cultures from around the world, from lion dancers to mariachi bands, as well as free children’s entertainment including face painting, creative workshops, bouncy castle and more.

Then, when hunger starts to set in, a fleet of 20 food trucks will offer a whole world of flavour, from wood-fired pizzas to crunchy churros and Asian fusion. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options will be available.

This smoke and alcohol-free event is proudly hosted by City of Wanneroo and supported by event sponsors Channel 9 and Wanneroo Times.
