‘Henry Lawson: The City and The Country’ is a celebration of some of Lawson’s best-loved works told through stories, original songs and his own inimitable poems. Across 2 richly entertaining sets, a group of talented collaborators deliver a fresh view of one of Australia’s iconic writers, including his connection to the Marrickville area. Performers include Oliver Morley-Sattler, James Roy,and Lowell Tarling.

Oliver Morley-Sattler, a songwriter, drummer and instrumentalist who wrote the original songs for this production. He is the frontperson of the Grunge duo Paperhill.

James Roy, a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and writer whose books have won multiple awards, including the NSW Premier’s Literary Award, the WA Premier’s Book Prize, and the NSW Premier’s History Prize.

Lowell Tarling, a writer, whose books have been published in the United States and…er…Poland. His biography of Australian Pop Artist Martin Sharp is currently being made into a feature film for Mushroom Pictures, titled Ghost Train.
