Holy Fetus: A Stand Up Show by Anna Spark

Anna Spark has been away from her beloved city of Melbourne for a year performing stand up in the UK. She's done some gigs, been on some radio stations, been interviewed for some documentaries, won some awards and bought her own bedside lamp. She's really coming up in the world.

Now she's coming back to perform her Edinburgh show for the first time because she craves Australian approval more than anything. Her style has been described by the British Comedy Guide as "audaciously funny" and "close-to-the-bone." The original Comedian's Comedian Mick Ferry believes she is "dark and sick but in control." Her mum thinks she is "a good kid that lost her way."

In "Holy Fetus" Anna wants to show you why there's no need to feel embarrassment and shame, especially for things that are out of our control. Like being chubby at school, snorting dry wall, shitting yourself and having an abortion. You know...the normal stuff.

Holy Fetus is not for the faint of heart, but rather the broken and the toughened. It's dark, twisted and gross. And it's going to make you feel so much better.

Doors open at 7:30pm and show starts at 8pm.
