Jackie Bornstein has established herself as one of Melbourne's most captivating singers, enchanting audiences with her emotive delivery and beautiful tone.

Together with her top band, Jackie will celebrate some of the most influential jazz singers of all time. From childhood Jackie was influenced by the virtuosic grace of Ella Fitzgerald, the unique expression and phrasing of Billie Holiday, the swinging elegance of Peggy Lee and the deep powerful delivery of Nina Simone. These inspirational woman, despite their many struggles, rose to the top of their field and gave us a legacy of beautiful music to enjoy.

Drawing on the repertoire of these jazz greats, Jackie will pour her heart into songs of love, longing and protest. Featuring tunes by Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Peggy Lee, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and more.

Known for her rich tones and ability to get to the heart of a tune, Jackie is a regular at Melbourne's top jazz venues. She secured sold-out shows at her 2018 Melbourne Recital Centre debut and at the 2018 and 2017 Melbourne International Jazz Festival. Trained classically as a child, Jackie went on to study jazz at the Victorian College of the Arts and completed a UK Masters scholarship on the role of music in resolving a conflict. She performs with a selection of Australia's finest musicians and brings a powerful energy to each performance.
