Just for Laughs All-Star Gala

The 2019 Just For Laughs All-Star Gala will be hosted by Australia’s favourite comedian Dave Hughes and will feature a stellar lineup to celebrate the Festival’s 9th year anniversary!

Hughesy is a natural and unmistakably Australian comedian whose laconic style thinly disguises one of the fastest comic minds this country has seen. These days it’s hard to miss him—currently on 2DAYFM’s National Drive Show as well as his new Network Ten show Hughesy, We Have A Problem. Next stop the Sydney Opera House, hosting one of the biggest nights of comedy in Australia that will once again feature some of the best international and Australian comedians.

With the Gala selling out each year, it has proven to be the Festival’s crown jewel and has featured the star power of John Cleese, Eddie Izzard, Bill Burr, Dave Hughes, Noel Fielding, Martin Short, Margaret Cho, Reggie Watts, Danny Bhoy, the Stars of ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’, Tommy Tiernan, Judith Lucy, Wil Anderson, Gad Elmaleh, Denise Scott, Stephen K Amos, Celia Pacquola, Fortune Feimster, Ryan Hamilton, Cal Wilson, Matt Okine and many other international and Australian comedians.
