K9ine Showcase: Road to Gully

K9INES is a fully independent Australian hip hop collective group from Perth, Western Australia. The group is a collective of musicians and record producers spearheaded by artists Figuero Jones and Black Napoleon along with record producer Eriki Beatz. K9INES are rounded off by their show and Tour DJ, DJ Profits.

Leading up to the release of their highly anticipated mixtape Gully, three singles; No Sofas (+300k Spotify Streams); Switch (+45K Spotify Streams); and Juggathon (+125K spotify streams) have been released to local, national and international acclaim evidenced by the streaming numbers.

The singles so far have been recognised and acknowledged by Apple Music and Former BBC 1 Radio 1 host Zane Lowe leading to enlistment of "No Sofas" and "Switch" on Apple Musics "The New Australia" playlist curated by Lowe himself. The singles have also caught the ears of and attention of Spotify Australia and New Zealand curators as seen by all three singles placed on multiple Spotify Playlists including "A1 Hip Hop", "New Music Friday AU & NZ", "Mellow Styles", and "All Aussie Hip-Hop"

Heading into 2019, Figuero Jones and Black Napoleon will look to actively perform shows and festivals (Local, National and International) as both as solo acts and collectively as duo under K9INES.

Road To Gully will be the second time Figuero Jones & Black Napoleon take stage in 2019 with their performance being in Melbourne for the Brunswick Music Festival (March 9th). Luckily it will be their first performance in front of home crowds in Perth since playing the One Day Sunday Festival in December 2018 with over 3000 patrons in attendance.

"Road To Gully" will be an audiovisual experience in anticipation of our forthcoming mixtape "Gully" releasing winter 2K1!
