Pop-icon Kate Miller-Heidke and composer and director Iain Grandage join forces for a re-imagination of Kate’s unique music that effortlessly melds indie, pop and opera. The pair collaborated first on the multiple Helpmann Award winning opera The Rabbits that sold out across the country. Now they will present a unique performance featuring some of Kate’s chart-topping hits such as ‘The Last Day on Earth’ and ‘Caught in the Crowd’ like you’ve never heard it before.

Kate Miller-Heidke trained as a classical singer at the Queensland Conservatorium, and in addition to her pop career has performed in several roles for the English National Opera and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Together with her collaborator Keir Nuttall, Kate Miller-Heidke wrote twenty original songs for Muriel’s Wedding: The Musical.

Iain Grandage is a multi-Helpmann Award winner for his work on Secret River, Cloudstreet, When Time Stops and Meow Meow’s Little Match Girl. He has curated the chamber music program for the Adelaide Festival, and been the Artistic Director of the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival since 2016. He has been composer-in-residence with the WA Symphony Orchestra, and has an extensive track record of collaboration with indigenous artists across the country.

Don’t miss Kate Miller-Heidke and Iain Grandage in this intimate music session that will be unlike any other.
