Key Grip hosts Canberra Blues Society November Blues Jam. Key Grip lives and breathes by the motto, “It’s Gotta Swing”. Band leader Leo Joseph has been using the name Key Grip for his bands since 1992. He set up the Canberra version when he returned from the US back in 2005 after 12 years living overseas, mostly in Philadelphia.

Key Grip explores the many shades of blues to give you up tempo and slower tunes, tunes with tasty, interesting progressions, great lyrics and well, tunes. "When the ingredients are all cooking and it’s working like a well-oiled machine, it’s to die for and we know we’ll see people up on the dance floor," says Leo.

Key Grip bring colour and texture to their sound by way of Leo’s piano and Hammond, the vocal prowess of Angela Lount as well as Leo doing vocals, Tom Fell on saxophone and a rhythm section you’d go a long way to match, featuring Mitch Preston on drums and James Luke on bass.

The host band will be followed by some of the finest musicians in the region jamming together for a great afternoon of live blues music. So bring your family, bring your friends and don’t forget your dancing shoes.

Kids under 12: free entry.
