Living legends Harry Howard and the NDE team up with fellow demigod Kim Salmon down south to play for “Summer Sounds of St. Kilda”.

Featuring two of Melbourne’s most handsome rock couples, Harry Howard & the NDE hail from These Immortal Souls, Crime & the City Solution (Harry Howard), Coral Snakes, The Moodists, The MistLY (Dave Graney and Clare Moore), Moll Flanders Band (Edwina Preston) Harry Howard & the NDE have taken their music to the far corners of the mother continent and shared the stage with Kid Congo & the Pink Monkey Birds, The Pop Group, The Aints and Thurston Moore among others.

Kim Salmon originally aspired to be a nuclear physicist but was swayed by the sounds of rock’n’roll and became a Scientist. He later became a Beast of Bourbon and then a Surrealist. He’s been a seminal influence on Garage Rock and countless bands including Nirvana, Mudhoney, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, White Stripes and Spacemen 3. He will perform solo in support of his latest album, “Hookline & Singer”.

Almost no one is greater St. Kilda royalty than the Howard family with Harry’s older brother former Birthday Party guitarist, Rowland having a lane in the suburb named after him following his passing 10 years ago while Kim and his seminal punk-grunge act, The Scientists called St. Kilda their 2nd home when they began making the pilgrimage from Sydney where they were based in the early 80s.

This promises to be a potent mix and unmissable for any fan of St. Kilda’s post-punk/grunge scene form the mid eighties.
