With their energetic and joyfully unrestrained music, Rachel Meyers and Dave McNamara have delighted audiences from some of Europe's liveliest bars and music festivals to the wettest, coldest and darkest street corners.
Special guest:
Fred Pribac on bass
Caller:
David Wanless
Lively, fun Klezmer, French and other European dances.
Dress fancy—it's a party! Will your outfit be:
- Classy,
- Flamboyant,
- Whimsical,
- Outrageous, or
- Zany?
Of course it's not essential to dress up, but it adds to the fun, so be creative. Glowsticks available and we will have some special lighting, including a little UV, so white clothing will shine. All dances taught. No dancing experience or partner required but you're welcome to bring either.
All ages welcome. Please bring some supper to share.

Klezmer dances are fun and simple, social, East European Jewish dances. BalFolk dancing is popular social dancing from Western Europe, a recent revival of traditional, mostly French, folk dances. Thousands of people of all ages attend festivals such as Boombal (BE), Damada (FR), Andanças (PT), Gran Bal Trad (IT) and the Grand bal de l'Europe (FR). There are vibrant folk dance scenes in towns and cities across Northern Europe, France and Italy, and a growing dance scene in London. If you're not smiling, you're not dancing!
