Laura Zarb: The Soul Express

Laura Zarb, as part of Sydney Fringe 2019, presents The Soul Express.

Audience members become passengers on The Soul Express and are taken on a one-hour train journey with Laura Zarb as she regales them with original tales and tunes. With her unique blend of wit, neuroses and charm, she addresses the pressures of perfection, anxiety and life in our modern day, technologically fuelled world.

Laura Zarb has lived a life on the road, taking her music from town to town. She has experienced life from the back of a van, used beachside showers to shave her legs, lived and performed in European mansions, and at times hidden away like a hermit to regroup, reinspire and discover Love. So listen, as her songs tell the tales of life, love and the road.

Opening the show is Shalane. Shalane is a multi-disciplinary performing artist spanning film, theatre, & music. As a musician, she has released 3 studio albums and toured nationally with her recent project ‘Siskin River’ performing at numerous events around Australia including Falls Festival, National Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Queenscliff & Fairbridge.
