We are very excited to have singer Leslie Avril performing at our end of year “Hoedown”. Leslie is a vivacious singer who moves effortlessly from original compositions to French, Cajun, Country, Blues, Jazz, 50s Classics, Rockabilly & Honky-Tonk.

Over the years she has been invited to perform at all the major festivals throughout Australia including 29 years at Tamworth Country Music Festival. "Having developed a reputation for delivering her country music with passion & drive, the result is a gutsy sound which is not readily found among Australian female country singers."

She has also shared the stage with many other well-known artists such as:

Doug Wilshire
"Diamond" Doug Wilshire is a 30-year veteran of the Australian and international music scene. Starting out in 1979 in Toronto Canada, Doug has been thrilling crowds with his high-octane mix of roots -based music. Doug is recognised throughout Australia’s roots and rockabilly music scene with his high-energy appearances at the Gympie Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and many other local clubs and pubs throughout the country.

Also performing at this event will be the superb music of Rene Diaz and Avalon who will serve up some of the best traditional country music around. Avalon will also be backing Leslie and Doug throughout the day. You can expect a full dance floor from the great mix of Artists we have for you at the Southern Country Music end of year Hoedown!
