Little Explorers' Big Day Out

An explosive day of awesome science activities designed especially for little kids aged 7 years and under!

Little scientists take over the Australian Museum as it's transformed into a giant, interactive laboratory. Workshops, shows and hands-on demonstrations with real life scientists will thrill and inspire curious minds, with explorations into volcano eruptions, dinosaurs, chemistry and First Nations cultures. Plus live animals and face painting!

Entry to and seating in the Street Science Show in the ground floor theatre will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be at the venue of your event 5 minutes before the start time, otherwise your place may be forfeited.

Due to venue restraints, prams and strollers are not allowed inside the Museum for Little Explorers’ Big Day Out, however free pram parking will be available on site. Visitors with access or inclusion requirements will be accommodated to the best of our ability.

Australian Museum staff may be recording the day. Conditions of entry include the use of your image in these photographs/videos for future potential promotional purposes.
