"Immersion" is an exhibition by Liz Fitzgerald, a prize winning Mornington Peninsula artist with an innate passion towards the environment. Fitzgerald's painting style confidently embraces each canvas surface, as juxtaposed blocks of saturated colour creating an orchestral dialogue of contemporary chromatic scales.
The artists conceptual landscapes are memotic abstractions, gathered from her experiences whilst passionately immersed within the landscape and environment. Each painting abundantly embraces the artists positive happy inclination towards life, which is certainly found as a unique cheerful quality in her material handling and visual playfulness.
An exhibition of 11 works on canvas and eight works on paper. Each canvas is beautifully framed in Tasmanian Oak floaters, whilst the works on paper are presented in Tasmanian Oak frames with full conservation materials including high quality UV acrylic.
All works are for sale at Creative Framing Gallery in the Greythorn Village, North Balwyn. Open 24th October–November 25th 2019.
