2019 marks the fifth edition of Lorne Film, which has a sole focus this year on celebrating Australian independent filmmakers. The festival will screen nine feature films across Lorne Theatre (550 seats) and the Cumberland Resort Auditorium (350), along with a variety of short films. Lorne Film first launched in 2014 and is back this year by popular demand, having received three times the number of short film entries compared to the last festival in 2016.

Events & Passes
In addition to the film screenings, patrons can choose to purchase from a variety of Lorne Film passes to experience Lorne at its finest this winter. Public festival events include Opening Night celebrations at CUDA Bar from 7:00pm on Friday, 26 July, and the Lorne Thought Filmmaker Q&A at 2pm on Saturday, July 27.
MoVida Lorne has partnered with Lorne Film to offer a Saturday night dinner and movie pass, which includes seven courses, wine and admission to Locusts.
The Lorne Film Premium Pass allows attendees admission to Opening Night, all film screenings, and Lorne Thought. The Lorne Film Festival Pass ($95) admits guests to all film screenings throughout the festival.
Couples may choose to spend their weekend at QDOS Tree House with the QDOS Select Pass for two, which includes attendance to Opening Night, two night’s stay and breakfast, as well as access to all film screenings across the weekend, and Lorne Thought.
