With special guests The Weeping Willows supporting in Meeniyan and William Crighton supporting in Melbourne and Sydney. Lukas Nelson, the son of Willie Nelson and friend of Bluesfest is returning to tour Australia with his band Promise Of The Real on the heels of tremendous accolades for his work on Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s ‘A Star Is Born’ soundtrack.

Since forming 10 years ago, the buzz surrounding Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real has been quietly intensifying. During that time, the singer/songwriter/guitarist and his bandmates have played hundreds of shows and major festivals all over the world and built a devoted following. Lukas’ profile continued to rise when he contributed three songs and heavenly vocals to his dad Willie Nelson’s 2012 album, Heroes, their voices blending with potent DNA. Then two years later, life took another turn skyward when Neil Young decided to make Promise of the Real his touring and studio band. Promise of The Real recently released their “Forget About Georgia” E.P. with a guest appearance by the angelic vocal duo Lucius, and a stunning cover of the David Bowie classic “Life On Mars?"

Drawing lineage from his father, Willie Nelson and surrogate uncles like Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, J.J. Cale and Neil Young, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real have developed into a devastating, ‘can’t miss’ live act. With a bounty of invaluable experience under their belt, expect Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real to deliver an indelible blast of cosmic country-soul, the sound of American music will be reborn in Melbourne and Sydney this April.

"You can thank Lukas Nelson for the incredible ‘A Star Is Born’ soundtrack." - Fader

"The one musician whose performances stood out across multiple sets during Farm Aid was Lukas Nelson, who is coming into his own as a star on the rise." - Billboard
