Mark Wells is a talented musician and songwriter from Newcastle, Australia. His emphasis on writing memorable tunes and delivering energetic performances has earned him a swag of awards, radio airplay and a legion of dedicated supporters.

He’s toured Australia and overseas, and his reputation for unforgettable live shows has kept made him favourite for weddings, private functions, parties and corporate events, as well as the festival circuit.

Mark’s passion is connecting with the audience, and he enjoys tailoring his performances to suit the occasion. Whether it be inviting on-the-spot song requests from the audience (there′s no song he won′t try!) or getting the crowd up and partying on the dance floor (no matter the age or music preference of attendees).

Having recently just been married himself, he’s committed to creating a memorable and enjoyable wedding experience for couples and their guests. Whether you’re after laid back tunes for your beach wedding, a big party atmosphere at your reception or even a special song dedication, Mark will consider any request and try to make it happen. It′s really all about giving the guests an amazing experience they′ll remember forever! The number of repeat bookings he earns are a testament to this special ability.

Mark has also achieved many successes in the music industry, including winning the Telstra Road to Discovery Songwriter’s Prize, where he was flown to Nashville Tennessee to work with CMA award winning songwriters. He has written songs that have reached #1 on Australian Country Radio and TV charts, and performed with his band at some of Australia’s biggest country music festivals.

Most recently he was nominated this year for a prestigious APRA Award alongside Kasey Chambers, The McClymonts and the Adam Eckersley Band, for Country Work of the Year for his song “One Eye For and Eye”, co written with Morgan Evans.
