Meander

Did you know there is an Island right in the middle of our City and it is a little gem? The River Yarra “Meanders” around this natural beauty accessible at weekends by punt. In a small gallery in this bush setting as part of 14th Herring Island Summer Arts Festival the Association of Sculptors Victoria will hold an exhibition.

Proudly supported by the Stonnington Council and Parks Victoria, the festival will be opened on 12th January at 12noon. "Meander" an exhibition of works by the members of the Association of Sculptors will be attended by the exhibiting sculptors who will be happy to talk about their works and their techniques. By popular demand on 28th January artists will set up in the courtyard of the gallery to demonstrate some of their skills.

A great opportunity to see some small sculptural works as well as the permanent works scattered around the Island in their beautiful bush setting. Enjoy the short walk and perhaps a BBQ or Picnic. Bring the family.

The Parks Victoria punt service runs on demand from Como Landing to Herring Island from 11am to 5pm on weekends and public holidays during the Summer Arts Festival. The gallery is open from 11:30am to 4:30pm. Entry to the gallery is free and there is a modest charge for the Parks Victoria punt.
