Meet the Monsters

It’s a double feature tour like no other! Planet of the 8s and A Gazillion Angry Mexicans are hitting the road together, and it all kicks off with an intimate show in home-town Melbourne.

Planet of the 8s’ new album is due for release on 8 August and features guest appearances from Bob Balch (Fu Manchu) as well as members of A Gazillion Angry Mexicans and Sheriff. Possibly one of the most anticipated sophomore stoner rock releases of 2019, the new material adds a new dimension to a stage show that was already touted as one of Australia’s girthiest live demonstrations of riff and groove.

A Gazillion Angry Mexicans will be laying down their ‘no holds barred’ live set in typically brutal fashion. The wild men of Melbourne’s world-renowned stoner scene share POT8s’ penchant for desert-flavoured riff-scapes but add a punk aesthetic throughout their murderous collection of songs, more reminiscent of an Oliveri-style ferocity.

These Monsters of Melbourne stoner rock will be supported on the night by Sarah EiDa Trio and Lemurs in the Sun.
