3-week short course in Richmond, structured for beginners.

In this 3-week course you'll learn both meditation and mindfulness. You'll learn how to deal with common stress related difficulties. Small class size for people with little or no experience.

Sunday afternoon start (5pm) for busy people to come from home before dinner. (finishes at 6:30pm). Practical course to decrease daily stress, anxiety and improve sleep. Experienced teacher has over 15 years of meditation experience in Australia, USA, and Asia.

Each 1.5-hr weekly class includes 2–4 meditations with theory, guidance and discussion. We introduce four techniques that teach body relaxation and mental calm.

- Body-Movement. (softens the body and builds a base for the following techniques)
- Mental Calm. (Calms and focuses overactive minds)
- Breath Tranquility. (breath awareness trains you to be more calm, relaxed and happy)
- Body-scan Relaxation. (sleep better, lower blood pressure, reduce fatigue and aging, and manage pain)

The course is cumulative, gradually moving from theory into practice using multiple techniques. Time is given to individual discussion and feedback, and offers the opportunity to reflect on results and progress.

We include triggers and reminders that can help in your practice and when using the techniques as short restorative ‘time outs’ during normal activities to calm yourself, avoid exhaustion and keep yourself functioning with less stress all day long.

You are likely to get good results from the very first class, but just like any skill it takes practice. We suggest 10 minutes most days, either in one sitting or made up of several shorter sessions throughout the day.

During the course we encourage you to meditate in chairs, not seated on the floor.
