Monnone Alone – Summer of the Mosquito Album Tour

Monnone Alone to play Sonic Sherpa!

We're stoked that Melbourne indie rock outfit Monnone Alone will be coming into Sonic Sherpa for a free, all ages set at 1pm on Saturday 18 May to celebrate the release of their brand new album 'Summer Of The Mosquito'!

Monnone Alone is the current vehicle for Mark Monnone—the founding bassist and songwriter for much-missed indie-pop legends The Lucksmiths Official—and also features that band's late-era second guitarist Louis Richter, but while Monnone's still obviously writing about seasons and the weather this band is an entirely different beast altogether (albeit cut from the same catchily literate cloth).

'Summer Of The Mosquito' drops on 10 May (through Monnone's excellent imprint Lost And Lonesome), and you can check out awesome recent single 'Do It Twice' on YouTube. The Lucksmiths are one of Belly's fave ever Aussie bands so come and help him get all fanboy when the great Monnone Alone hit Sonic Sherpa!

NB Monnone Alone are also appearing that night for free at Netherworld alongside our besties Dumb Things and top-notch locals Greg Brady and the Anchors.
