Why not treat mum this Mother’s Day with a delectable High Tea with live music by the Dolce Vita Duo! The Dolce Vita Duo, featuring Monica Martin on vocals & violin and John Garland on vocals & piano, will provide the perfect ambience to your special day with lovely Jazz and Golden Oldies music.

Seating: Six large tables will be set up inside and outside in order to accommodate up to 56 guests. Guests will first be seated inside.

High Tea Menu:

The menu includes a delicious selection of sweet and savoury dishes, a glass of sparkling wine, punch and unlimited Nespresso coffee and teas by T2. A cash bar will be available for any other beverage purchases.

Sweet Selection:
Little raspberry rose sponge cakes, White or dark chocolate truffles, Cupcakes, Seasonal fruit tartlets, Macaroons, Mini seasonal cheesecakes, Petite chocolate + strawberry scones

Savoury Selection:
Mini BBQ chicken salad, Flat bread w/smoked salmon + dill labneh, Mushroom, spinach + feta frittata, House made sausage rolls

Dolce Vita Duo:
Monica has performed as a casual player with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Canadian Chamber Music Orchestra and Symphony of The Kootenays. She’s performed as a soloist and in various ensembles in Canada and Townsville. Monica has had the honor of performing with popular artists such as K.D Lang, Il Divo and Michael W. Smith. At the beginning of 2019, Monica released her album “Swingin’ Violin” which features a fusion of gypsy and jazz music.

John has performed at numerous jazz festivals, piano bars, cruise ships and resorts in Australia, Europe and the US. He’s also performed as part of a band in US bases in France and Germany. A highlight of John’s career was performing with “The Peddlars” who were the opening act for Gladys Knight & The Pips tour of the UK, and the Mercer Ellington Orchestra in Amsterdam. John was in the backing band for the Frankie Howard Show and Graeme Kennedy Show in Perth.

In addition to performing as a duo, Monica and John perform in the Hot Club Quartet with Bob Passmore on bass and Reg Braun on drums. The Hot Club Quartet is currently performing their new show, “Some Like It Hot” at The Ville Resort, Grand Ballroom.
