The Protest Collection at Museums Victoria.

Museum curators have been out and about documenting a number of significant political, Indigenous, environmental and feminist protest movements in recent years; Marriage Equality, School Climate Strike, and Change the Date.

The material collected sits alongside material collected from seminal movements such as the fight for the 8 hour day, women’s right to vote and the 1967 referendum. What does this new material tell us about current protest culture?
