Nichaud Fitzgibbon & David Rex With John Montesante Quintet

The Water Rat Hotel is delighted to again feature a very special guest singer with JMQ Jazz Ensemble—Melbourne's queen of jazz, Nichaud Fitzgibbon—recognised as Australia's premier jazz stylist. And featured multi- instrumentalist will be David Rex on sax.

Nichaud's natural charisma and feisty elegance brings sophistication to performances offering a repertoire of popular jazz standards of the Great American Songbook. Her sound is sultry and warm and she always leaves you wanting more from her selection of swing and grooves to bossa and blues. She works with Melbourne's finest musicians in a variety of combos.

David Rex is a versatile alto saxophonist of great gifts. With Nichaud and Dave this evening are Michael Harding (piano), Tom Lee (double bass) David Hicks (drums), John Montesante (trumpet + flugelhorn).
