NowHaus – Opening Event

As part of the Design Week program, design school LCI Melbourne will host an exhibition marking the 100-year anniversary of the iconic German Bauhaus Institute. Showcasing new work created during a 72 hour intensive workshop, artists and designers Neil Chenery, Michelle Mantsio, Mireille Oberholster and Michael Peck will provide a short circuit to the Bauhaus through an intense re-interrogation of its methods, processes, tenets and aesthetics. In the spirit of the Bauhaus' response to the intensity of its societal context and a desire for an alternate future, Nowhaus will maintain the importance of this intensity through its own 2019 experimental art and design process.
