To celebrate the exhibition opening, we’ve put together a whole day and evening of free activities and events. Starstruck pop-in space. Take yourself on a self-guided tour with a family trail brochure or get creative and draw yourself into a film strip. ArtLab | Little Faces: Music and Movement - The National Portrait Gallery is bringing its family making program to HOTA. Children under 5 and their families are invited to join an educator for playful activities in ArtLab. Highlights Tour - Enjoy a snapshot of the exhibition with the experts from the National Portrait Gallery. Tawdry Tales Tour - A tour with a twist! Hear all the salacious stories behind the portraits and uncover what the stars didn’t want you to know.

Official Opening Event Starstruck: Australian Movie Portraits & Duchamp Wall | Courtenay McCue: The Queen of the Cross - Official Opening Event—with live music, guest speakers and up late access to the exhibition. Special guest speakers: Ms Karen Quinlan, Director, National Portrait Gallery, Mr Jan Müller, National Film and Sound Archive CEO and artist Courtenay McCue.
