Learn palette knife painting techniques to achieve tone, depth and texture in your paintings. The workshop is taught by award winning artist Ashley Frost who is known for his palette knife paintings with compositions that use light to capture a fleeting moment in time. Students will paint up to two large paintings using a palette knife while also learning about composition, colour selection and colour mixing.

This class will transform the way you paint! Suitable for anyone who has been painting for a while but would like to learn how to introduce the palette knife into their tool kit. If you have reached a creative block, feel stale or need some technical intervention in the way you paint, this might be the transformation you need. Whether you work in oils or acrylics this one day workshop will give you new skills and confidence to apply to your art practice.
