Anyo is one of Melbourne’s most respected and sought after House DJs. Spinning a mix of Jackin, Chicago and Soulful house fused with pop and funk, he has been playing to Melbourne’s club scene over 15 years and constantly plays guests spots around Australia. Anyo has supported most of the biggest names in House music, is an integral part of most underground house events in Melbourne and continues to hold a plethora of residencies at clubs here as well as interstate and overseas. As the CEO and A&R of Sonrisa Recordings, he’s also had releases on a number of underground house record labels under the alias ‘Jack Castro’.

With labels such as Hijack (AUS), Herbal Essence (USA), Aroma recordings sub label A Second Smell (BEL), Alphabet music (USA), Guess Who (USA), Exit Enterprises (USA) ,That’s Why! Music (AUS) to boast, this local legend has been a busy boy. One of his tracks that he remixed for GreenHouse recordings (USA) was featured on The House of OM Summer Sessions CD mixed by DJ Heather and Onionz.

Being a Melbourne favourite he has major support and love from heavyweight djs such as Derrick Carter, DJ Heather, DJ Sneak, Roger Sanchez, Paul Johnson, ILLYA, Jason Hodges, The Sound Republic, Ken (East coast Boogie men), Raoul Belmans (Swirl People), GIOM, Bobby & Klein, James Curd (Greenskeepers), Exit, 1200 Warriors, Bryan Jones, Lamanex, Slater Hogan, John Larner, Honey Dijon just to name a few (ok ok, I’m boasting now cos that’s a truck load).

He has a weekly show that has been running over 7 years and strong, on KissFM (87.6FM), DC Radio and its the talented folk like our Anyo that have given the recent comeback of house the kick in the ass that it needed. An original artist of the highest caliber.
