Local animal rescue organisation Dogs’ Home, will be hosting a Pet Adoption Day Drive to help local rescue dogs in need find their fur-ever homes.

Between 11am and 2pm, Bunnings Launceston customers will be able to meet some of the adorable, and adoption-ready dogs in the local area, chat to the staff at Dogs’ Home about the adoption process and buy some Dogs’ Home merchandise.

The adoption drive will be raising awareness of pet adoption and encouraging Australians to help a rescue pet in need. In addition, the adoption drive will be supporting the Dulux 2019 Jelly Bean initiative, running throughout Bunnings stores nationwide between 20 September and 31 October. This year, Dulux is raising money for Second Chance Animal Rescue’s new Hospital in Melbourne.
After meeting some of the adorable fur-babies looking for their new family, Bunnings customers are encouraged to head in-store to the paint aisle. When customers buy 8L of Dulux paint at Bunnings they will receive a Jelly Bean tin, inclusive of one-of-five miniature collectable Dulux dogs hidden inside. $1.00 from every Jelly Beans tin will be donated to support Dulux’s $140,000 contribution to the new animal hospital.

For more information about the Jelly Beans initiative and adoption drive visit the Dulux website.
