Guests can pick their poison with $20 cocktail jugs including Bloody Mary’s, Spritz and Margaritas from 3pm, while this weekend’s launch will see $1 pots of beer between 3-4pm on Sunday 30 to get the party started!
According to Bimbo Venue Manager Adam Bothwell, creating Queer Deluxe was a no brainer particularly given the venue’s location in a lively and eclectic suburb like Fitzroy.
“We’re super excited to be the new northside home for the LGBTQI community, and hope that it becomes a beacon for fun and frivolity and a true destination each Sunday,” said Adam.
Reinvigorating Brunswick Street’s nightlife, the much-loved Bimbo (formerly Bimbo Deluxe) reopened its doors on Wednesday, 22 May.
Still home to its famous $4 pizzas, Bimbo has adopted a local art-driven design approach, including epic murals by Celeste Mountjoy and Elliot Routledge.
Bimbo also has a permanent weekly roster of events, including DJs Thursday-Sunday featuring a mix of locals and old Bimbo favourites
