OUR PROJECT?
With funding from the NDIA, we are working to share and enhance http://reimagine.today/, a FREE online resource that guides people living with a mental health condition through accessing the NDIS and working with the NDIS to access supports to work towards recovery. Our Peer Leaders are coordinating state-based co-design groups to develop new resources for http://reimagine.today/ Some of these resources are being created specifically with, and for, LGBTIQA+ people.

CO-DESIGN?
We are working alongside people with lived experience, their families, carers and supporters to adapt resources to ensure http://reimagine.today/ is inclusive. Co-design is an opportunity for people to contribute in a respectful, safe and supported environment.

Our face to face group will be focused on how reimagine.today resources can be improved to better support LGBTIQ+ people to access the NDIS based on ideas raised in the first group including:

How to improve images included on reimagine.today to be more inclusive and representative of the diversity within the LGBTIQA+ community.
Design of new video, animation and other possible creative content for reimagine.today
Developing plain English translations of NDIS terminology
Working on an e-learning module
During our workshop, we will focus on building two of these resources.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
We invite LGBTIQA+ people living with a mental health condition, their families, carers and supporters to take part in this co-design process. If you met with us earlier this year, we welcome you back to build on ideas we began to explore then. New participants are also welcome! Participants are welcome to bring a support person. Reimbursement will also be provided to eligible consumer and carer participants.
