Artist line up: Chris Rule (DJ), Exogene, Dan Pearson, Sun Asta & Brkn Fixie (Live Visuals)

Resonant is a night that aims to showcase electronic musicians and sound artists who are pushing the boundaries of live beat based music performances with modular synthesisers and various music hardware electronics, whilst incorporating live projected visuals.

The night is very much about creating a relaxed, safe and welcoming space for all those interested, to be able to experience, socialise, network and have a creative outlet with like-minded people. Each month we have three live audio performers along with a live visual performer, supported by DJ Chris Rule.

This month (March) we have:

Exogene: Synths and Violin. Renaissance experimental.

Dan Pearson: Melbourne drummer, producer and bass music veteran Dan Pearson has spent the last decade collaborating and touring the international festival circuit with various artists, including didjeridu virtuoso Ganga Giri. He is the Australian representative for 1010music and the brains behind Tendrils cables. He will be performing his first ever live modular set at Resonant.

Sun Asta: Sun Asta is Ross Healy and Caroline Hawke. Ross has released 27 electronic albums since the mid ‘90s covering dance, industrial, ambient and abstract electronic music. Caroline Hawke has been a professional vocalist and entertainer (originals, covers, musicals) since the early ‘90s. Sun Asta are finishing up their first full-length album. Expect etherial sounds, landscapes and powerful haunting vocals.

Brkn fixie: Live VJ and modular synth guru will be gracing us with live visuals for the evening. Often using a mash up of analogue generated retro video glitched out as a live performance using computers, hardware generators and controllers. Always a treat!
