Come along for a gentle and soul nurturing restorative yoga class. In this class we will use restorative yoga poses and meditation to relax and restore the mind and body. Tickets are limited to 6 people per class so get in quick.

What is Restorative Yoga?
Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching and deep breathing. In Restorative yoga, the intention is to release tension from the body by relaxing as far as possible into the poses using props such as bolsters. It is a completely different experience than most contemporary yoga.

After you are set up in a pose with your props, you will hold the pose for around three to five minutes. Although you are supported, you will still feel the stretching. During the extended holds of restorative yoga, however, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body. Restorative classes are very gentle and mellow.
Restorative yoga stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which slows the heart rate, regulates the blood pressure and relaxes the body.

As such, it is considered particularly beneficial for those suffering from anxiety, insomnia or headaches, as well as other stress-related conditions. Restorative yoga is also believed to boost the immune system and accelerate the body's natural healing process. Prepare yourself for deep relaxation when you attend a restorative class. At the end of the session, your body feels open and refreshed.

Suitable for all levels of yoga experience and all bodies. Mats and props provided. Small classes of 6.
