Roger McLachlan – Past, Present & Future

Internationally renowned multi-instrumentalist & Producer, Roger McLachlan has music “in his bones." He is a Musician’s musician—a master of the language of music, with a career history that spans over four decades and puts him alongside the who's who of established Australian & International Entertainment Giants including: Stars, Little River Band, John Farnham, Pyramid, Tina Arena, The 5th Dimension, Cliff Richard, Lionel Ritchie, Shirley Bassey and Thelma Houston.

Roger McLachlan's basslines feature on Classic hits such as "You're The Voice" (John Farnham) making Roger a regular and familiar house guest—if you live in Australia you have heard him inside your home far more than you may realise! His reputation as a "bass playing groove master" and servant of the song, as well as his amiable collaborative capacity, has strongly stitched him into the fabric of Australian music, as well as featuring in the global music landscape; his homeland New Zealand honoured Roger McLachlan in 2008 by inducting him into the Southland Rock & Roll Hall of Fame NZ.

In 2010, Canada celebrated Rogers contributions to the world of rhythm sections and education and his performances at Cape Breton Drum Festival with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Roger has a unique musical & philosophical perspective on the Past, Present and Future as he launches his first ever solo album, Roger This Roger That, a delightful collection of ‘cool, chill out funky R&B soul soundscapes, Pink Floyd meets Weather Report with a pinch of eastern spice and a dash of English mustard.

"Past, Present & Future" celebrates over 40 years in the Music Business and the launch of Roger This Roger That. Roger will be performing selected tracks from his solo CD and some of the classic songs from iconic bands he was part of, including songs from; Little River Band, Stars, and Pyramid. Joining Roger on stage will be some of Australia's finest musicians and singers—David Jones (drums & percussion) (Pyramid), Ric Formosa (original lead guitarist) (LRB), Richard Tankard (keys/vocals) (Tank Dilemma, Geoff Achison), Mick Pealing (vocals) (Stars), Steve Wade (vocals) (LRB), Greg Clarkson (sax) (Late for Breakfast), Sam Watts (2nd bass guitar).
