Rookie Cooks Classes

Adelaide Farmers’ Market is launching a great value series of cookery classes designed to get beginner ‘rookie cooks’ confident in the kitchen—book now.

We want everyone to be able to confidently enjoy the beautiful produce sold at the market, so we are running a series of great value cooking classes for ‘Rookie Cooks’. From boiling an egg to delicious desserts, Farmers’ Market resident foodie, Chrissy Rob, and guest chefs will guide students through a series of kitchen skills that will build their confidence as well as giving them something delicious to eat.

11th August – Knife Skills for Rookie Cooks
Learn how to safely cut and chop then use your practice vegetables to produce a hearty soup.

18th August – Everything Eggs for Rookie Cooks
Learn the techniques needed to make Hollandaise sauce, omelettes and meringues.

22nd September – Versatile Vegetables for Rookie Cooks
Try some new vegetables and make roasts and a simple vegetable and chickpea curry.

29th September – Italian Tomato Sauce for Rookie Cooks
Learn the secret behind good ‘spag bol’, chilli con carne, meatballs, rosa sauce and vegetable bake.

6th October – The Wow Factor for Rookie Cooks
Give simple favourites an exciting twist as you cook many dishes from the same simple base.

13th October – Desserts made Easy for Rookie Cooks
The simple apple provides a sweet finish to our Rookie Cooks course.

The Classes
Maximum of 10 people per class.
Classes come in blocks of two per month during August, September and October.

Terms and Conditions
Classes must be booked in advance. Refunds are not available but tickets are transferable. Minimum age 15 years.
