Self-acceptance is the foundation of a happy life. Learn the skills to practice self-acceptance & self-nurturance in our 3-hour self-care group for women at Restful Waters. Meet new people and find ways to develop deeper self acceptance and live your joy.

Our society, our media, our culture promote women being valued for their looks, their youth, their usefulness. Changing this value system is vital in freeing ourselves to appreciate all aspects of who we are without restriction or limitation! Allow us to fully embrace our hearts, our minds and our bodies!

Self-acceptance is defined as satisfaction or happiness with oneself and is necessary for good mental health. Self-acceptance involves self-understanding, self-care and an awareness of one's strengths and weaknesses.

Some benefits of accepting yourself include:

- a heightened sense of freedom
- a decrease in fear of failure
- an increase in self-worth
- an increase in independence (autonomy)
- an increase in self-esteem
- less desire to win the approval of others
- less self-critique and more self-kindness when mistakes occur
- more desire to live life for one's self
- the ability to take more risks without worrying about the consequences

Join counsellors, Ariel Fyfe and Kali Ledger as we cover the following topics:

- Acceptance of our bodies
- Acceptance of our personality
- Acceptance of our wounding and emotional reactions
- Acceptance of our weaknesses and failures
- The relationship between self-acceptance and accepting others.

This event includes tea and coffee as well as light refreshments and take-home information on the topics covered.

We look forward to seeing you there!
