Launching from Friday 25 October, Melbourne Central will be bringing all your favourite scruffy muppets to Melbourne, by celebrating Sesame Street’s 50 year anniversary with a massive world exclusive Art Exhibition – Sesame Street 50 Years and Counting.
Local curator Eddie Zammit (also a Sesame Street fanatic) has sourced 50 artists—both local and international—and matched them with 50 individual characters from the iconic kid’s show, to shape an interactive experience.
Highly acclaimed and new to Melbourne Central, artists such as Jeremy Fish, DXTR The Weird, Mighty Short, Kate Pulle, and Kentaro Yoshida will be curating the famous all-star lineup—Big Bird, Bert, Elmo, Ernie and Oscar the Grouch (just to name a few) will feature, alongside the entire crew of Sesame Street favourites.
This global showcase is located behind the Shot Tower at Melbourne Central and the entry is free... Bring your friends along, snack on some choc chip cookies (Om Nom Nom Nom) and relive your innocent youth through one of the most beloved kids show ever made.
