Australian born Londoner, Simone Craddock, has been compared to Erykah Badu, Bob Dylan and Stacey Kent but remains fiercely individual. She is a regular on the London jazz scene, playing Ronnie Scotts, Pizza Express Live and Live at Zedel. Also an Actress she has played lead roles in Dirty Dancing, Hello Dolly & Jesus Christ Superstar in the West End and toured the UK, Europe, Asia and The States.
Last year she released her first original single "It's No Big Deal" featuring Maynard Ferguson alumni, Paul Armstrong on trumpet, to critical acclaim. Simone collaborates with band members of Amy Winehouse, Courtney Pine, Sister Sledge, Adele, Tom Jones and Jason Mraz and her music is a fusion of these contemporary influences and her own straight ahead roots, burgeoned in the streets of New Orleans.
Twenty years and countless countries later, Simone returns to WA, to perform in Fremantle for the first time ever! Joining her at Jazz Fremantle on Sunday 10th March, are local talents, Benn Hodgkin on trumpet, Danny Moss Jr on double bass, Ookii Endeffi at the piano and Daniel Susnjar on drums. Together they'll be swinging jazz and blues faves, busking an original or two, and welcoming requests in this joyous celebration of her Fremantle debut!
