Spinners and Weavers Annual Exhibition and Sale

Spinning, weaving, felting, dyeing.

Our group uses these techniques to create textiles that are beautiful and unique. This is slow, intentional making. Items created with skill from natural fibres. The exhibition includes our personal projects completed during the previous year and projects worked on by the group. This year we have created a toy shop of handmade toys which will be donated to charity at the close of the exhibition. In the items for sale there will be plenty of squooshy beanies, scarves, rugs, cushions, children's and babies' wear, and for the knitters, handspun skeins.

We also have demonstrations of spinning and weaving throughout the day, and at 11am we show how we prepare wool fleece for spinning. At 1pm, there will be demonstrations of dyeing and wool felting. If that sounds interesting please come along on the first weekend of June.
