Steph Tisdell is a major up-and-comer in the Australian Comedy scene. After cutting her teeth in the UK and winning the Deadly Funny Grand Final in 2014, Steph has been collecting awards and accolades wherever she goes, building an impressive TV, radio and print credit list most recently having appeared on ABC's prestigious Oxfam Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, The Project and was handpicked by Nazeem Hussain to perform at the Stand Up for Christchurch benefit which was aired on Channel 10.

Steph is a proud Aboriginal woman and is making a fast rise as one of Australia's funniest Aboriginal Comedians, putting her in a unique position to encourage other Aboriginal artists to come forward and showcase why they're the funniest race in the world, and that's why she's putting on this show!

Steph will be joined by some of the brightest up and coming Indigenous talent from Queensland for one deadly night of stand-up comedy.

This show will also function as a fundraiser to help cover the costs of Steph's Edinburgh Fringe Festival season, where she will be performing with the Aboriginal All Stars and taking Aboriginal Comedy global!

The evening will be hosted by 2018 Deadly Funny Winner Leon Filewood, with performances by 2019 Deadly Funny Finalists Ky Ambrams and Aunty Maggie Walsh and Class Clowns National Finalists from St Teresa's College in Abergowrie - Soren Pryor, Cyrus James-Hankin and Ben Depoma performing their award winning sketch "Whose my parents?" plus unannounced special guests on the night!

This is an incredible line-up of Aboriginal talent from all over Queensland, each with their own unique style of comedy. We hope to make this a regular event, showcasing the incredible comedic talent in the Indigenous community - mob strongly encouraged to attend, and those who simply need an education - and let's face it, comedy is the best way to break down barriers!

This night wouldn't be possible without the incredible staff at Reload Espresso Bar who have kindly donated their venue, so please make a whole night of it by booking a table, arriving early and have dinner and drinks before the show!

Special thanks to Paula Henderson from St Theresa's at Abergowrie in North Queensland who has enabled Soren, Cyrus and Ben to come to Brisbane and perform.
