Cheekily nicknamed Splendour in The Gap by a local wag—our event is held on "Sunlit Fields" under the distant Mt Cootha TV towers. The music theme is "Coast to Cabin"—that's the range of styles played by the bands. There will be 15 food trucks + eftpos machine. Here are the bands with 'fun facts' about each band.

Minor Premiers:
Minor Premiers are a Bardon based band with a mellow coastal aussie style music. Lead singer Luke Peacock grew up 'shooting hoops' at the Taylor Range country club basket ball court. Minor Premiers have a mellow song about a Brisbane City Council Bus service called "Great Circle Line"! Minor Premiers have songs called "Airplane Enthusiast" & "Oh My My"!

It's Magnetic:
Another local band comprised of Ashgrove Junk Bar owners (Mia Goodwin and Jamie Trevaskis) with Ashgrove's Ben Ely (from Regurgitator band); 'Its Magnetic' play a moody Twin Peaks style theme—perfect for the Mt Cooth TV Towers nearby! They'll be launching their new album!

Primitive Motion:
Band member and The Gap resident Sandra Selig plays many instruments and is nationally renowned artist with works in Qld Public Building like the Magistrates Court; Primitive Motion produce a secret garden of sound. They like listening to the Bell Miner Birds at Bellbird Grove to inspire songs! They have songs called "Golden Light Clinic" and "Plant me Deep".

Shifting Sands:
Their music is a mix of the coastal and the log cabin. Lead singer Geoff Corbett lives on Macleay Island and works as a counsellor! Shifting Sands have a new album called "Crystal Cuts", previous album called "Beach Coma". Their songs "Love song dedication' and "Hibiscus" are about love lost and regained!

The Stress of Leisure:
This fun loving quartet like to comment on the weird and the absurd with great songs like "Sylvia Plath" and "Pulled Pork". Lead singer Ian Powne is from Bollen in Central Qld and he runs a radio show on 4zzz. The Stress recently played with bands "Custard' and 'Regurgitator". Synthesiser player and songwriter Pascalle Burton is also an experimental poet.

Martyrs of Modern Progress:
Local band from The Gap comprised of teachers Rob Johnson from Gregory Terrace School and a moonlighting journalist exec from ABC News (Ben Barber Hayes). They are promising 'jangling guitars' and power pop.

DJs 'Nowhere To Run' 4zzz:
We will have intermission DJ's 'Nowhere To Run' from 4zzz playing super groovy 60's soul and motown. The intermission DJs are lead by "Sixties Sarah" who is a scientist in her 9–5 job.
